About Gerry

I have been passionate about photography since my early 20s. It all stems from my early love of Fell Walking. Visiting the Lakes District as often as possible I suppose it was inevitable that a desire to capture the stunning scenery I encountered on my walks would lead me into photography. One thing leads to another as they say, resulting in an involvement with club photography, I presently Judge and Lecture for clubs belonging to the Northern Counties Photographic Federation. I’m also a member of the Royal Photographic Society having gained the distinction of an Associateship ARPS from a creative portrait submission.

Over the course of time my interests have broadened from Landscape to encompass Travel, Street and People photography. I still use film (for which I have a separate gallery) for my work together with digital cameras, I hope you enjoy looking at the images posted on the site as much as I have enjoyed making them.
